Eudaldo Carbonell’s company is established in the city centre of Barcelona and José Carbonell Iglesias, the future founder of Marín y Carbonell, S.L., starts learning about the textile business from his father.


José Carbonell and José Marín create a new company located near the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona City centre. Their business expands and they move to a new and bigger building in 1969.


Business remains exclusively in the hands of the Carbonell family, and moves to Carrer de Trafalgar (Trafalgar Street), where most textile companies were established at that time, remaining up to date.


MYC reaches 2000 m2 of warehouse and showroom, both in a 1920’s modernist building in the area.


Unstoppable import operations require new spaces for storage and distribution, easing logistics. A new 5000 m2 building is built in Castellbisbal, not far from Barcelona, where shipments are received, classified and sold to the rest of Spain. A Shanghai office starts to control all purchases and production, to guarantee quality standards and delivery terms.


Export activity starts through an agent’s net in most European countries.
